Spotted deer which is also called Chital deer in different languages of other countries and states and its biological name is in the name of Axis-Axis Deer. It is found in many numbers in many other countries including India. If its name is derived from the word Chital, then this work has been taken from the Sanskrit language which is “Chitral”. The name Chital has been made by making a variation of this word.
Their number is so high that they will be easily seen in all the wildlife sanctuaries and forests around the world. And the prey of all the dreaded animals are easily made. They are found in every forest in every corner of the world. Talking about their distribution in India, it has been found in Rajasthan, Himalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat etc. It is natural to see them in many places like Assam, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar, Sundarbans.
The population of spotted deer or chital deer is such that they are found in many countries and the main places of their living where they are found are forests, deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries, or kept in zoo’s or wildlife parks for their care. Goes where everyone's needs are taken care of by their food and drink. And they are saved from being victimized, there they are provided safety by keeping them in a different place. It just stays there by tying it in a ditch.
