I’ve fallen in love with Greyhounds!

I decided to take my first break from blogging yesterday. It could have been the sun beating down on Palm Springs which caused us to hide indoors but I welcomed it. We spent the day lounging and I was relaxed enough to take a midday nap.

Our friends had asked us to keep an eye on two out of their three greyhounds. Their youngest dog (3 year old, Sunny) seemed to be experiencing back pain and they felt the need to bring him to a specialist. His results came out good and he’s a very healthy dog. They left the vet with some pain killers for the next few weeks and some advice on a new harness for walks.

Both dogs were easy to watch. This is Paul. He’s 11 years old and he likes to keep to himself. His favorite thing is napping but can be tempted to get up if a snack is involved. He’d let out a short deep bark when asking for a treat. It was really cute.

Look at this sleeping beauty. I love the oversized horse plushie beside her bed.

This sweetheart is Hemi. She’s also 11 years old. Like Paul, she also likes to nap. Hemi is very friendly and will come waltzing right up to you for gentle pets and cuddles. I fell in love with her instantly!

If we had a bigger home in Minnesota then I’d love to get a Greyhound. They’re so majestic! They definitely behave more like cats than dogs.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at these cuties!

They are adorable!!! I’m not sure if I can name just one favorite breed 😝 dogs just melt my heart!

Mine too! They’ve all got such diverse personalities and they’re such great companions.

Adorable! I’ve always wanted a greyhound or a whippet, they are so sleek looking! Hope you are enjoying your vacation 💜

They are! I snapped a few photos of them on their leashes and they look so beautiful. Our vacation is coming to a close and it’s been perfect!

I do wish I could have met up with you 3, I have so much going on, personal and work wise that it’s kinda hard to leave the city for a while but hopefully we get to cross paths soon💜

Ah, yes, I’m super bummed about that also but I’m sure it will. We’re always bouncing around and @guthrie seems to love California now. I hope everything goes well for you and you stay in good health.

Hugs and thank you! And cheers to sometime soon meeting in person!

I can see you owning an Afghan hound too - very sleek and elegant.

Seems like little @guthrie is allergic to dogs so we might not be getting one until he leaves the nest.

Noooo aww poor @guthrie. I'm allergic to most furry critters but it doesn't stop me from sniffing them. It is worth the suffering to me.

cute and adorable dogs, they look awesome

They really are!

Growing up. While the Chow Chow dogs are well known for their distinctive blue-black tongues, they’re actually born with pink tongues. They turn blue-black at 8-10 weeks of age.

Very cool facts!

What a cutie!

I know, right!?

Love these dogs. I have wanted one for ages and you just reminded me about it.

They’re so lovely! I hope you get one!

They're both so beautiful. I've always heard that rescued Greyhounds are big couch potatoes. I've always wanted an English Bulldog, but I am in love with dachshunds too

I love all those dogs! Yeah, our friends were telling us about the terrible things that happen to the race dogs. It’s so sad. I used to really want an English bull terrier, they’ve got such an interesting look.

ALL OF THEM. I love all of them. ;____; But I have a special place in my heart for shih tzus because the family dog is a ridiculous one:

He was overwhelmed with all the holiday shenanigans we put him through.

Haha! Cute! I think I’ve only met maybe one or two of these little guys in my life.

The life of dogs is too short, it is their only drawback

I agree. It breaks my heart.

Mr Sunny needs to get their nails done

I heard that they’re very sensitive about their nails because of their old age but they will be relocating to an area where they can grind down their nails naturally from daily walks.
