I took these pictures just before Christmas at my sisters house. I really love parrots, the colours are amazing and to have a pair visiting there for over a month to feast on the seed pods in the trees out the front it is truly a blessing. These birds were so comfortable there that I was able to get close enough to get a few photos.

Are parrots in that area year round? It's crazy that you were able to get so close them. They must be used to people in that area.

No the parrots are not in this area all year round they only turn up once the seed pods come out and then they leave once all the seed pods are gone. I watched them over a few hours and when anyone went near them they flew away. I gradually moved close to them and I was turned side on so I wasn't a threat to them.
