Last Wednesday the kids and I have officially started a search for a quality canine to join the family. We did that by making our way to our local shelter to check out who is available there.
Our requirements are many - the dog needs to be a shelter or rescue, be good with kids, fun to play with yet not aggressive. So at that shelter the only one fitting the bill was Zoey (pictured above). She is a Labrador mix, weighs about 80 pounds, very playful, 2-3 years old (estimate).
She may actually be the one. Either way, I wish her the best of luck and hope she comes to a quality home. She definitely deserves one - as do all dogs, come to think of it.

A gorgeous dog! Her name is beautiful, sonorous! I'm sure that in her blood the best Labrador genes. In the end, they are used for hunting, as rescue dogs, and, most importantly, they present excellent companions!
