Hello Steemians,

Today was a hot day in Sunny California. The night is cooler but still a little warm. But all in all, a very nice day. As usual, I step out each morning to feed my Cat Monster. When I went outside, I walked over to where the cat food bowl is and I saw this possum just sitting there. He seemed angry and he was. I soon found out why.

It seems that this little guy had been in a battle. I am not sure where this battle took place but I am sure he had been in a fight with a dog. Now, our neighbors have dogs. In fact, several of our neighbors have dogs. On both sides of our house. So I can only assume that it may have been at one of their houses.

But I knew that this little guy was hurt and hurt pretty bad. His left rear leg was kind of dragging as he walked. I tried to get near him to see how bad he was injured, but he showed me his teeth real fast and with a hissing sound was letting me know to leave him alone.

So I had no choice but to let him travel on his way. I watched him as long as I could to see where he might go. When he passed into a neighbors yard, I lost him. You can see by the way his hair it wet and mangled and all messed up that he was injured. I wish I could have helped him but, he truly wanted to make it on his own. I love all animals and don't ever want to see them in pain. I hope he will be okay. Have a blessed day Steemians. I'll be back again soon with another post.
