This is my entry for the @juliank animalphotography contest. I love the colors on this iguana. I made this picture when I was in Curacao. There are a lot of iguana on the island and they vary in size and color. The locals call these animals treechickens. Because they apparently taste like chicken.

He's so beautiful! A friend of mine who lived on Curacao for a while told me they can slap you really hard with their tail. Did not know that at the time... so I went really close to it to make picture..oops ;) Thank you for commenting :)
