Hey there,

In the days before my Kilimanjaro summit attempt, I spent some time in Arusha National Park. This is one of the lesser known national parks in Africa as it is more of a forest park than the usual savannah.

However, this does afford you with some great pictures of giraffes, there are loads there. This was a lucky shot as this African Tick Bird was cleaning this juvenile giraffe while I was watching.

      This is so cool. The closest I have been to a giraffe is in a drive through nature park. We had a giraffe lick our windows much to the thrill of the children.

        The neck looks so thin from this angle, but o so beautiful. Have you edited it heavely in Photoshop/Lightroom or is it au naturel?

          Bit of contrast, bit of sharpening. That's it. No other photoshop work at all. (oh, bit of vignetting on the border)
