Hungry ponies

in animalphotography •  6 years ago

With the Tour de France just around the corner, it reminded me of the cycling trips I've done in France. A few years ago, I took le velo and rode up Hautacam. It was a cool misty start that turned into the most stunning day. I was surprised to see another car at the top, and settled in for a coffee and a croissant. Appears the wild ponies were hungry too. Glad my bike was next to me!

From a #cycling perspective, Hautacam is a must do. An iconic climb in the Pyrenees that genuinely captures the style of those mountains. A combination of steep pinches, short recoveries culiminating in spectacular and rugged views.
