Beautiful Monsters

in animalphotography •  7 years ago

When I looked back at my photos from 'Monster Aquarium' I came across these beautiful specimens, who were more than happy to pose for the camera, but moved around a fair bit adding an extra level to the challenge. These iguanas? I think they are iguanas (Please correct me if I'm wrong) were one of many land dwelling lovelies in the outdoor section of the 'Monster Aquarium'. At first sight many may label these fascinating creatures as monsters, but I thought they were fantastic and their features close-up were mesmerising. On top of these charismatic characters moving around, they had a wire mesh in front of them, so I had to get my camera lens right up to the mesh, therefore it was not obstructing the camera's view. They were one of the few animals that had a good view for taking photos and were able to put on a show for the camera, I can't wait to meet some more of these creatures, but maybe not in my bed!

I used Photoshop CS6 to highlight the details on the face after reading a few tutorials, can make all the difference when wanting to highlight specific details on a photo!

Love an angry look :D

I think he/she was a big softy really!

That can easily pass for a dinosaur! Jurassic Park?? ;)

Pretty cool, some people have these as pets! I don't think I would fancy having one of those roaming around my house!

Yeahhh... and creeping onto your shoulder with no warning... Yikes!!!
