Orca during sunset in Antarctica ~ Jan 6, 2018

in animalphotography •  7 years ago

I found this pod of Small Type B Orca (Gerlache Killer Whales) in the Gerlache Strait on the Antarctic Peninsula on Jan 6, 2018 at around 930pm. The encounter only lasted for about 20 minutes but this photo still takes me back to that one moment of pure awe and a feeling of being at peace.

Wonderful place

This is absolutely lovely. Fantastic shot. Orca's are amazing creatures. I just hope we look after our oceans better to maintain their existence. The location is also legit.

:)

You do, what i always want to do. I love the ocean it's so much more then water. Its mystic. We know more about space then about our deep seas. You, sir... got a new follower, and i wont go. What a great live you have. I'am a little envious ;)

I really need to figure out how to get down there. That looks so beautiful.

Amazing art
