Turtles are hatching. I found these 4 turtles over the past two weeks. I am fostering them until they get bigger and stronger so I can release them back into the wild. Amazing little guys they are.

They look like Red Ear Sliders. As a child, we collected red ear slider turtles from the bayou directly behind our backyard from my family home. We kept them in a baby pool in our back yard, along with a rabbit, a dog and a cat (not all in the baby pool at the same time that I recall). After a hard rain, the baby pool filled up and the turtles were released back into the bayou down in Houston.
It would be entertaining to see these turtles as teenage mutant ninja turtles. Sure, it would be a lot of effort to create the set and costumes but you may get an animal rights attorney out of the effort. The slow motion kung fu fight scenes with red ear slider turtles would be very entertaining, or it seems like it would but it may induce naps if it is to slow for the fast pace modern technology world at rabbit speed.
