Bird of Prey - Western marsh harrier

in animalphtography •  5 years ago

The western marsh harrier (Circus aeruginosus) is a large harrier, a bird of prey from temperate and subtropical western Eurasia and adjacent Africa. It is also known as the Eurasian marsh harrier. I found these birds preparing their breeding spot in Lower Austria near a big pond. Stefan and i had a perfect hide there and we could watch these birds flying with branches to prepair their nest. They where flying every few minutes so we where able to shoot several pictures of them. Next Year i am pretty sure i will visit this place again for some bird photography, because it was amazing.
