These lagoons are coastal characteristics around many parts of the common world. It is overlap between bodies of water classified as water bodies and water bodies classified as coastal lagoon.
They have also been identified as being on mixed-sand and gravel coast lines. It is usually divided into coastal lagoon and atoll lagoons.
This lagoon has a shallow body of water, which is different from one large body of water by its barrier islands or reefs.
