It is not new that animals are able to evolve to adapt to their environments and above all to survive.
They learn to withstand extreme heat through their skin, like some snakes, or they develop legs to get better and catch their prey more easily.
Such is the case of this peculiar frogfish that was caught walking in the depths of the water.
A fascinating skill
This unusual creature was found in the waters of Lembeh, Sulawesi, Indonesia by Atsushi Safaki, a 59-year-old diver.
The diver was able to film the small fish as he walked in the depths of the ocean. Although it is an unusual creature, the diver who has managed to dive a thousand times in different parts of the world, had already been able to see the animal under other circumstances.
This species of frogfish uses its pectoral and pelvic fins to walk like frogs do.
But this creature is not the only species of fish that has managed to evolve to walk similarly, it has even been recorded in amphibian fish able to breathe with the lungs.
Theories of evolution hold that fish began to be able to walk ashore 400 million years ago.
Environment, eating habits and the instinct of survival have generated the evolution of the anatomy of these fish to be able to adapt.
That fish is really cute! It's little fin feet are adorable!

What the animal's legs look like is nothing other than pectoral fins that have spread through evolution
