A little about the Foxes

in animals •  8 years ago

 Hi Steemians, it's me, Pedro.

As  I have seen how well the community has received my contributions on  animals, I have decided to continue publishing about them. At this point you will read a little about the Foxes.

The word fox comes from two Greek words modified to our language:

 Zor: Astute

Ro: Strong

They are excellent  hunters and if they die of hunger they can steal food from other animals  and they will not care if you are a bear or a dinosaur will steal you. The  dead sometimes are made to be safe which makes them look very astute,  there are more than 27 species of foxes found on all continents of the  world except Antarctica.

Foxes have adapted to live everywhere, you can find it in cities, mountains, forests, fields and arctic areas.

They belong to the Canid  family, which also belong to dogs but are more like cats, are more  active at night as their vertical pupils allow them to see better in the  dark, their claws also contract which allows Climb trees more easily, that's why they are similar to cats regarding behavior. Foxes reproduce different types of sounds, the red fox has detected up to 20 types of sounds.

Foxes are oriented through the earth's magnetic field, according to scientists can even see it as a shadow ring. Foxes  are solitary adults, but when they have young are very familiar,  mothers stay with the kids and the male goes for food, they can have up  to 11 young.

So here comes  this post, soon I will upload another post about some animal, give me a  vote and follow me @Animalandia, Do not forget to take care of the  environment and your space, remember that so a small contribution to the  care of the planet among all will be something gigantic.
