During our recent family gathering we were walking around outside and noticed all the puppies were no where to be found. Usually they are running around with all the kids and pulling on everyone's pant legs. After searching for them I spotted them all snuggled up together in one dog bed outside. These adorable puppies all agreed it was time for bed at the same time and that's just what they did. One paw around each other and all.
These are five Bloodhound/Mastiff brothers and sisters.
Bloodhound- Classed as Hunting Dogs
Mastiff- Classed as Working Dogs
Both breeds are similar in their temperament. Gentle, mild mannered, lovable and great with kids. They love attention and are very affectionate and energetic.
They both drool and shed about in the medium range. They are both larger breed dogs and have some of the same colors. The Mastiffs' ears are not quite as long as a Bloodhound and their face is not as narrow.
The Bloodhounds are known for their keen sense of smell and that they can follow any scent, even people. They may wander off if they catch the scent of something, very determined to follow it. The Bloodhound is used for rescue and to aid in searching for criminals. Their findings are accepted in court cases.
The Mastiffs' large size tends to intimidate anyone that comes face to face with them. But they are gentle and lovable and love attention. Their bark will let someone know that they are protecting their family.
They are both great dogs to add to your family. Their lifespan is between 9 and 11 years.
Hope you enjoy the precious moments.
