On a Rampage
.
On a dull morning drive in the rains when all hope was lost we had stopped to watch a pair of Jungle Mynas fight when the Deer herd about 500mts away suddenly burst up calling frantically.
We knew there was a predator right out in the open and hence rushed to the place to find Torn Ears walking on the game track after a failed hunt of the Spotted Deer.
We stopped a fair distance away as he was walking in our direction and we did not want to spook him by driving towards him.
We parked at his favorite tree and within minutes he was on it but did not rest as expected, he kept on rubbing himself against the tree trunk and started sawing repeatedly.
It was a bone chilling experience listening to him at such close quarters. He was on a rampage that day and could care less about our presence.
He descended and took to the track again marking every tree and chasing every herd of Deer on the way.
