We all know the fact that the senses of cats are much stronger than the senses of many other creatures and that their level of flexibility and speed is beyond the limits of human abilities, but there are some facts about these wonderful soft creatures that you certainly did not know, and I will reveal them to you below.
Your furry cat isn't just a four-legged petting and feeding machine. The history of their species is much more complex and interesting than you thought. Cats have developed their senses in such a way as to adapt to humans and try to develop communication with us, and it seems that they have succeeded in this.
[1] If you share your home with a cat, you've surely noticed that they have an impeccable vocal range, especially when
they are hungry or want to go outside. This is no accident, cats produce up to 100 different sounds and tonalities
from their seemingly gentle voice. Compared to other animals like the dog, which makes 10 different sounds, that's a
fascinating number.[2] Have you heard of the Astro Cat? Yes! There is a cat that was in space and, believe it or not, it came back alive! The
privileged French cat Felicette is certainly the cat's Yuri Gagarin.[3] Have you noticed the ear movements of your little cat friend? Imagine, your cat invests as many as 20 muscles in the
movements of those ears!
[4] Considering the intensity of use of all those numerous muscles, it's no wonder that cats sleep as much as 70% of
their lives, and they are known to live as long as 15-20 years, while the oldest cat managed to live to be around 35
years old![5] Your cat's cute nose plays a very important role in their life. Just like we have a fingerprint, so your cat has a
unique nose print.[6] Evidence shows that the domestic cat is present in history as far back as 5000 years. In addition, there is evidence
that the cat was considered a noble animal and that it has special powers and senses that are currently
incomprehensible to us humans.[7] It has been proven that humans and cats have the same appearance of the part of the brain that controls emotions.
[8] Cats have an outstanding memory, which is not difficult to conclude from the ease with which they find places where
there is cat food, and also places where they regularly like to rest.[9] Experts believe that cats are so smart that they can literally manipulate their owners. Two things tell us that. First,
cats remember their owners very well and know who they are. It's just a matter of how much they care. Second, they
feel the reactions they cause in their owners, which means they are much closer to us than we think.[10] Cats are the humblest domestic animals. It is senseless to spend a lot of money on equipment and toys for the cat
when even the most ordinary box will be enough to entertain your cat.
Considering how cats have already adapted to life with humans, we can't wait to see in which direction their evolution will go.
