RYE MOTHER WOLF PACK

Rye is an excellent mother figure to little Thicket... If you mean the sort that chases you down the street with a wooden spoon when you talk back. She is the irrefutable "fun police" of the pack. When the pack engages in particularly high energy or rough play, and didn't invite her, she will do everything in her power to dissolve the romp. While this could be interpreted as "jealous" behavior, it seems far more fitting she is misjudging growls and snarls of rough play and trying to quell tension within the group. Here we see Rye having just broken up a good time--presenting stiff postures, dominantly posing over a quivery-lipped submissive Thicket. Once a wolf mother becomes pregnant, she goes through a phase of allowing her relationship with her mate.all mothers go through this stage as well. The wolf mother will spend a great deal of time cuddling together with her mate. It is as if she spends this time “focusing” on her husband to prepare for the time that she will focus all of her attention on the babies. This phase is a natural extension of the stages of mothering and usually lasts several weeks.

Lovely photo and great post. Good to get interesting facts. The film "Dances With Wolves" showed a wolf as we'd never seen one and it was magic. We long ago long ago lots our wolves, but there may be one lurking around where nobody can see them. Lovely and misunderstood animals. Thanks for this post

Hey thanks for commenting mate, and yeah wolves are lurking around where no one can find them, their species are in danger right now, if men keep on hunting them its only a matter of time before they go on to extinction

So cute and beautiful :) Followed
