Archie the parchie

Thanks for an interesting time Archie. Had to take him to the pound, because I no longer could give him the attention he needed due to my arthritis. Got him from the pound in the first place and had a contract, if I could no longer take care of him or would give him away, that I would take him back to them. They will find a new owner for him, hopefully he will find someone that can give him the attention he needs. Absolutely heart broken by this, but had to do it, best for us both.

Archie was a hyper dog who needed a lot of attention. I never had such a dog that got excited so much. He wasn't good on the leash, would pull a lot till my arms hurt. If met someone new he would jump them and scratch them open from excitement. I could train him a little, but just sit, lie down, come here and the word no. I tried to leash train him, but I'm not a Cesar Millan, who could train him the right way. It was hard and frustrating work. This dog would even get excited from leafs falling from a tree.

As a puppy the previous owner just let him in the yard on a big metal chain. He pulled so hard on the chain that he had a big scar on his neck, obviously it had been cut open. So he didn't had any training as a puppy, wasn't socially with other dogs and didn't know how to act a domestic way.

He was a very strong and beautiful dog. Too bad he was crazy as crazy can get or just misunderstood by human beings. This is a small tribute to my big Staffordshire dog, Archie.
