howdy back youhavewings..oh no need at all to apologize! I lov your passion and compassion and I so agree and have been perplexed by this growing outrage for many years and thinking about solutions.

But I didn't know the number of 40K per homeless person per year. So that is clear corruption and greed like you said. And with so many government programs it becomes a way to bring in tons of money but it doesn't solve the problem so they have to ask for more money!

Man I know politics is necessary but I hate politics.
I'm so sorry about your father, is that something you can shed more light on? what happened that he was homeless and what happened to him?

I don't know how anyone makes it in CA or NY with the insane prices they have! something has to give.
thank you so much for all this important information!

I've thought about writing about it to honor his life...it's just such a sad story. To summarize, he gave up on life. I can't possibly write it all down in a paragraph or two. He was hit by a Mack truck and the only thing he had left to identify him after the other homeless people picked everything off his lifeless body was my handwritten name in his pocket :(

Thank you so much for asking about my father @janton He was loved very much and a special person that like so many people lost hope.

I've also been wanting to write a post on the homeless, too which I will. Heavy stuff though.

oh man youhavewings I'm so sorry that happened. but if you feel like writing about the homeless problem then who better to do that? I have no idea how to fix the issue do you?

True, yes. I think homelessness is connected to many things in our society and system (its broken and corrupt). I think in order to change it, we have to change ourselves first - look at the causes and actually care to change it.

Knowing that 40k a person is spent with nothing to show for it but a growing population of homeless certainly tells you what 'isn't' working, huh?

Anyway, thanks for going down this route with me, I didn't mean for it to turn into a different discussion.

Your Firehawks!

haha! no youhavewings that is wonderful to discover things about you and to know that you have such passion to change injustices, that's a beautiful and powerful thing!
