Villagers have beaten a Bengal Tiger who came to the locality from the Sunderbans. This incident happened on Tuesday morning in the killing of tigers in Gulshankhali area under Nishanbariya union of Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat, bangladesh.
It is learned that the Sundarbans crossed the forest of Gulishakhali at the Dhanasagar station in Chandpai range of Eastern Forest Department and entered a hungry Tiger population. The panic is spread in the area when it is known.
Six to seven villagers were injured in the attack by the tiger in the morning. After the announcement of the mosque, the villagers surrounded the tiger with lathis and killed them unknowingly.
The injured were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Divisional Officer of Sundarbans Eastern Forest Department Mahmudul Hassan said that the station officer was sent to the station after hearing about a tiger entering Gulishakhali village. There was news of a tiger beating and murder.
Details will be possible after going there. However, an investigation committee will be constituted about why the tiger was killed or who was killed.
