So we all have a mysterious way of finding people or animals in our lives. In a bar, at the park, or on the side of the road. This little baby was not at all what i expected to get into.
I had my ex boyfriend text me in the morning that he had almost crashed the night prior. It was the day that gay marriage was legalized so a few of his buddies and him went out to celebrate late at night. I was furious but he said wait, I have a cat.
Pause. A what.
He's not a man to keep animals but I had to see it and make sure it was healthy. I was working at this grocery store across the street from his place so i picked up cat food at the petco a few doors down and went over expecting this older kitten. A kitten able to walk onto a freeway has to be at least a few months old right?
Wrong.
I realized he was only maybe 3 weeks old. Barely able to eat regular food. I had thought he was a girl because of how young he was. But he stayed there for maybe 2 weeks with his ferret brother Rusko till I had him meet his new sister Oreo. My mom had no idea he existed and didn't allow any pets because my dog would harm them. I took him home before she did and let Oreo sniff him out. Now at this point hes been thought to be a girl and only seen a ferret. Upon meeting the dog, he tried to act tough and she didnt really care what he was doing; just what he was.
My mom said we would discuss keeping "her" but had went out and bought all these pink things only to be surprised 2 weeks later when his parts dropped.
He's been a major pain but he's now grown into a great cat who acts like a ferret and a dog. He's abnormal but hey that's the fun with him.
The ancestor of all domestic cats is the African Wild Cat which still exists today.
