The Airedale terrier contains a giant sq. body that is merely emphasized by its implausibly straight front legs and a deep, wide chest

in animals •  7 years ago

Its long head and muzzle ar each broad and flat, and it's tiny pointed ears that ar nearly always folded down. The stiff, slightly curving tail of the Airedale terrier is sometimes docked and tends to most typically be black in color. the bulk of this breed's thickset body is tan in color (including its ears), with black and generally carmine colored markings. Their double coat of fur is waterproof with a rough and stringy layer, that's lined by softer hotter fur (a characteristic of the Otter Hound). The Airedale terrier additionally contains a terribly keen sense of smell attributable to its combination of Hound and hunting dog*.
