So, as told in my previous posts, I had a lovely wee lamb from 2 days old, who sadly passed away unexpectedly at 10 months. Also, as told in my previous posts, I am a widowed mum of four, blah, blah, blah.
Now obviously, myself and my kids were devastated when wee Murph, our lamb, passed away so suddenly. However, that's where the problems seem to have started.
Although initially, it was difficult to comprehend, within a few days, we were able to concentrate on the fact that we had given Murph the best 10 months ever! Rejected at birth, he was left for dead. Even if his birth had gone smoothly, he would have been a sale offering in Tesco's fridge by the time he was 6 months 😳. So to that respect, I do believe we gave him a good life.
We started to discuss the fact that if there was another rejected wee lamb, we would do it all over again.
Well! All hell broke loose on the close relatives side!
How could we possibly consider such a thing, when Murph's death had caused so much hurt on top of the losses already suffered in this family? How did we know that by keeping Murph alive, we hadn't caused him more pain?? How stupid was it to consider a sheep as a pet anyway???
I was dumbstruck 😳
