TRYING TO TRAIN THE SHEEP SOME MORE

in animals •  7 years ago

Today was a wonderful day down here in the Ozarks.

During some of their free time, the @little-peppers asked if they could try to train their sheep some more. The sheep have their moments, but mostly they are friendly and allow the @little-peppers to lead them around on lead ropes. Since it was a beautiful warm day, they thought this would be fun. While it may be fun, it is also helpful for us, so the children get to have fun while they work! Here are a few shots.

The sheep is gorgeous, but the girls always come out prettier in the pictures. The knock out smiles must have something to do with it.

Train sheep?

They are obviously not New Zealand sheep.

We used to have over 70 million sheep in NZ (and 3 million people) and not one of them had a brain.

So the idea of trying to train them.... ;-)

Good luck with your sheep :-)

Wow...Animals photography .
I like this funny post.
Best of luck .....Resteemit..

This young cute girl looks very happy with the sheep may she always have happy moments and also you too @little-peppers

what type of traning are you want to give this sheep?

Just helping them be friendly and to be lead on a leash.

Yes this is a very fun job for kids. The lamb also looks very cool with its long feathers. Reminds me of childhood when shepherds sheep. Hope always happy for @little-peppers.

Happy little homesteaders! I remembered our trip last Wednesday. I had a chance to play with loose goats in my friend’s homestead.

animal photography is awsome. nice thought

wow so cool what a great day it seems to be lovely clicks and learnt something new :)

In my youth, and I think that they still do, the country schools had calf day, where kids could bring their pet calves to school.
A vet would check them over, the kids had to lead them through a set course and present the diary they had kept from the day the calf was born.
The best in each section won a ribbon/sash to keep, and when the calves grew up they were much easier to milk in the shed,
Sometimes the calves became to friendly and it was hard to wean them away for the kids.
I don't think lamb leading was ever a section, mind you, we were in dairy country.

Interesting!

It is better if you have fun while you work. It makes the time go faster and the tasks easier to do...

That is a #truestory!

It must be "National take your sheep for a walk" day. Woo Hoo!!

Do they really have that?

They ought to. They have just about everything else.
