Once upon a time, maybe three years ago, we got a fish. We named it "basic fish" as we adopted it from a fitness centre called "basic fit". Basic Fish seems to swim very happily in it's little bowl. After a year or two we moved and decided to adopt another one. It was on a day we bought our bed "Carpe diem". We gave our second fish the name Carpe Diem. The bowl became to small for both fishes, so we decided to buy a bigger one.
Now they can grow bigger and bigger. In the beginning they were after each other. More likely, Basic Fish was always after Carpe Diem. When time strikes by, they were getting closer and closer.
The orange one (right) is Basic Fish, the red one (left with bigger eyes popping out of it's head) is Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem is doing fine. Poorly, Basic Fish is not doing well for more than one month. In the past the fishes were taken care by someone else, during our vacation. When we returned, Basic Fish had black burn marks all over it's body. Not long after that it's left eyes looked weird. As if it was blind. Now Basic Fish is always floating with his left side above. Sometimes there are red blood marks on it's left side. I did try to do water therapy and a special diet (no food for two days, after that pealed peas as food). I even massaged Basic Fish, as I read all kind of advises on the internet.
The most worst scenario I can think of is that Basic Fish will suffer of this sickness. A colleague of mine putted her floating fish in water with lavendel oil, if I was not wrong. She read that the fish will die with no pain by doing so. The truth is that I don't want Basic Fish to sleep. He still can dive to the bottom to eat. I want Basic Fish to live it's beautiful life. Who am I to decide to put a life to an end? How do we know what another creature feels when we can't communicate with it....
Excellent
