I love my country, its animals and nature. IMG_9688.PNG

My love and empathy for animals runs so deep that it's both a blessing and a curse in my life. Here are a few of my precious memories.

Love the opening and closing quotes @lynb you must have had a wonderful time hand raring little ones, from the wild to mans best friend.

Thank you! 🐅

Great photos. He was so right about the animals. We still have so much to learn from the animals. 🐓🐓

Yes we do 😞

Where are you with these young animals? A zoo perhaps? 🐓🐓

Some are a veterinary clinic I worked at while I was a student, some are my doggie hotel and the two white dogs and pony and sheep are my animals 😘

Ok. When you say your doggie hotel, I am thinking you must live on a fairly good sized piece of property to accommodate all of the creatures. Those that's are not part of the veterinary clinic. Do you still run it or was that in another life? 🐓🐓

Yes it was on 7 acres :-) I grew up on that property, and growing up we had 9 cats, dogs, a pony, a donkey, rabbits, and a chicken called Josie who used to sit on the sofa with us 😂 I closed the hotel a few months ago and I'm teaching now.
The pony and sheep are on my dads' property at the moment.
I still have my dogs and a cat but after they've all passed I think I will not have any pets, just for a little but while, because the heart ache of loosing them catches up with you over the years. I'll spend some time traveling and seeing more of the world and then I'll settle into a life of a home and animals again.

My aunt was telling me about your chickens. :))) I remember there was a chicken at the vet once who was alightly stressed after merely being looked over by the vet that it collapsed onto its side. I was so worried and the vet just said not to worry and that I can check on the chicken in an hour again. I did and the chicken was standing up and totally fine. It was the tin tiny bit of stress that just sent that chicken over the edge and into an almost comatose state. Very interesting and, I'm sorry, it was a little funny. I love reading about your chicken chronicles 😘

Sorry for the typo's.. was typing using my phone.

Oh! Those darned chickens. Always getting into trouble. They are funny, I have to admit. Watching the smallest ones attempt to take flight after a grasshopper hovering about 18 inches above the ground never ceases to make me laugh. They are hard workers and diligent about getting to the root of things.

I think it's pretty interesting that you ran a pet hotel prior to teaching. Don't blame you one bit for wanting to be free while you do some traveling. You can always get more critters when you are ready to settle down.

You haven't really mentioned if teaching is your ultimate goal or if you have your sights set on another profession/ vocation. My intuition tells me you have some adventures you want to experience before making any hard core decisions.

I could be way off course considering the company I keep. (Chickens) not your Aunt! Lol.

Glad you are starting to write more on here. Glad to get to know you. 🐓🐓

The chickens sound so adorable!

I studied culture, history and sustainability but after I finished my studies the kennels just kind of happened and my life took that turn. Some of my fondest memories are from that time, and I got to grow in more ways I knew possible.
I'm very passionate about history so decided to do another year of studies to be able to teach it. Ironically, I'm now teaching Maths and Science. But they've promised me a history post as of 2018. Holding thumbs.

I have a serious case of wanderlust, which is probably why you're picking up on "unsettled" vibes. We only live once (Well.. perhaps. But we shouldn't live like we have countless more lives coming, in my opinion.) It goes way deeper than that but I feel that part of this journey is that it should be a silent and private one. I sense you understand what I mean.

Have a stunning Sunday! I'm meeting aunt, uncle and the rest of the clan for lunch. Xx
