The Earless Monitor lizard like most lizards doesn’t have ears but these lizards also don't have a visible hole in their head. All lizard species can hear including these lizards even though it is not as keen as a human’s hearing. Their hearing is similar to a snake’s, the sound has to be loud for it to notice. They also have a forked tongue that flick out like snakes do. Citation and more information at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earless_monitor_lizard

@mattt I like the post, however it seems a little (pardon me) half- ass. I am a fan of all reptiles, therefore I gave it a vote. In my opinion it might be of benefit to you in the future, to give the information a worthy delivery. That being said, man do I love LIZARDS, they are so cool. Plus I followed you, in part because of post + gecko profile picture.
