Red-necked Snake

in animals •  7 years ago

This snake may be slidin’ through mud or catchin’ fish but that is not how it got its name. The Red-necked Keelback gets its name from their vibrant orangish red neck. They are very slightly venomous and generally not a dangerous species. Citation and more information at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhabdophis_subminiatus
