Raphy, 3 months old!
Raphy is a cavapoo puppy. A cavapoo is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and a poodle.
Raphy, 4 months old
Raphy’s coat is golden, he looks like a teddy bear. My family and I almost called him Teddy. We decided on Raphy, short for Raphael. My boyfriend and I love that name and secretly wished we had called our son Raphael.
Raphy, 7 months old
Raphy loves to eat anything apart from dog food. Raphy barks every time we take him for a walk from over-excitement! He loves socialising with other dogs and has made many friends. Raphy runs really fast and loves chasing other dogs, birds and squirrels that live in our local park.

Cavapoos are known to be intelligent and very good around children. My boyfriend trained Raphy to recall- so each time we whistle or call Raphy he listens and obeys. This is very important, your dog needs discipline. Also, we found the cavapoo breed do not like being left alone, which is difficult. Our door frame is full of scratches from Raphy, sometimes we have no choice but to leave him. This is common in most breeds.
The children part is true, however we did have a few teething issues. Raphy and our youngest son took a little longer to bond. Toddler and a puppy has its challenges. My next post will be a survival guide on puppies and toddlers!
I’m the only female amongst a pack of males all craving my attention. Well particularly the youngest three. Most evenings you’ll find two children and Raphy hanging off me. Dogs love attention, if Raphy notices one of the children snuggling with me on our sofa, he will climb between us! I secretly love it because I love puppies and children. If I were rich I’d have more puppies and children, and hire a really good nanny!
More puppy pictures pending for future posts.
