Labrador retriever is so far the most popular dog breed in 2021 based on the report of American Kennel Club. Their physical features that classify them from other breeds are their drop naturally floppy ears, broad head, large and expressive eyes, and their thick and fairly short coat. Their coat could be double, flat, or dense. For males, they approximately weigh from 65 to 80 pounds while females approximately weigh from 55 to 70 pounds. They could grow as high as 23 withers for male while 22 for female.

PERSONALITY:

• They are bred to work hard originality in water retrieving; thus, they need training and exercise. The suggested amount of time for them to exercise is 40 minutes a day.
• They are energetic and strong dogs; thus, it is being suggested to train them to be obedient at an early age. In that case, owners won't have a hard time controlling their energy once they grow bigger and stronger.
• Because of their energetic nature, they highly need exercise and other physical trainings, else they might develop a habit of barking excessively, chewing, or digging.
• They are intelligent and can easily be trained.
• They have friendly nature; thus, they are great family dogs.
• They are protective.
• They love water.
• They excel in various dog sports such as Obedience, Rally, and Agility once they are trained well.
• They can be trusted with children.
• Aside from being intelligent, they are also patient, and gentle with equable temperament. That's why they are good pets.
