The Spaghetto Tales :Chapter 4

Its been a while since one of these, hasn't it?

Well I've been pretty successful in Cheer so far, so that is what I will talk about first.

The team used to fight. We used to bicker and bitch about each other. Coach was starting to notice and decided to have a pretty heart felt talk with us during one of our practices. She was talking about how we should build each other up instead of tearing each other down. To be completely honest, I was near oblivious to the fighting beyond just some petty stuff about how some girls are bad at flying and what not. I mean, you need the whole stunt group to work together. I'll elaborate on that in a bit. Basically, we weren't working as a team, but now we are. We kinda have to due to the fact that we are constantly berated and harassed by other sporting teams and we are the only family we have in that hellish environment. So now we're working together. It is a work in progress, but it is happening.

Another fun thing is that I learned to back and base for our stunt group. I am a base right now, though, because we don't have enough bases. I'm enjoying it. I only bear about a third of the weight of our flier, so it really isn't as hard as one would think. Three girls lift a single 80-100 lb girl. It really isn't hard at all. If you get your form right, then lifting is actually really easy. If you're worried about the fliers, they're usually shorter than 62 inches in height. They aren't drastically underweight or anything. I think our shortest is 55 inches give or take. I think the only problem is getting kicked in the chest every now and again when the stunt fails. I have bruises already. I don't mind, though.

We have had 2 games so far. Our football team won one of them but lost the most recent one, which was just yesterday. I don't understand the first thing about football, but cheer is fun so I go along with it. We did our half time show which didn't go amazingly well but nobody fell out of the stunts. A couple of the girls did tumbling on the sidelines. I'm still learning to tumble and the others are being incredibly supportive.

Tumbling has always been hard for me because of my, I'm assuming, mental illness. I don't know what is wrong with me, but we're going to figure that out in October, but it really impedes me. I constantly fear everything. I have such bad anxiety that even the most simple task makes me panic. I have come a long way but some things still get to me. I have a tough time cooking because of it. I can't use vacuums at all. I hate driving. I hate tumbling. I do it anyway. I've been trying to perfect my cartwheels and I land on my feet now. Its pretty good so far. I found out that my brother, who is rather athletic, can't even do cartwheels. I also am working on my bridge, which is when you lift your body like a bridge facing up. I have a hard time explaining it but I imagine if you google it or understand acrobatics you'll know what it is. I got so excited when I got my back and head off the ground during our Saturday practice.

After the game yesterday, I came home to the end of my nephew's birthday. I missed it for the game. He's only 1, though, so he won't remember or care. My half brother was visiting from Massachusetts with his wife and kids. He also had another guest. His cat. We had agreed to take the cat because they don't put animals down in New Hampshire when you bring them to shelters. He couldn't keep Kyle (that's her name) because she didn't get along with the other cats, or the dog, or the kids anymore. We thought that if we couldn't take care of Kyle, at least she would go to a shelter that would actually find a home for her. Right now she is staring out my window like the furball she is. I don't know how old she is.

She is incredibly shy but friendly when she warms up to you. She approaches me now. She reminds me of another cat I had. Since she is such a fat cat, I don't exactly worry about her running away or getting taken by a hawk. She's staring up at me right now. The other cat was 4-5 lbs and only a year old when she was taken. Kyle is probably around 10-15 lbs. She has a larger frame as well.

She hissed at my dog so far. I think it was due to the fact that my dog sneezed. I ushered her out of the room after that. I have 2 dogs, one pom and one basset hound. The pom is Bianca, and I will likely talk about her more often. The hound is Diablo. I don't plan on showing him to Kyle any time soon. Bianca and Kyle sniffed each other. It was great.

So those are updates in my life. I might start Zoloft, I might not. I'm passing my classes as far as I'm concerned. I hate gas stoves (I'm in Basic Foods). Just miscellaneous shit right now.
