For such a slow animal, it quickly became a favourite.

The plethora of wildlife in the area is remarkable. This sloth has continually visited for the duration of our stay. SLowly, she returns. This was one of the first times we met face to face. In the middle of the driveway, blended in with the road. Luckily I drive slowly. Moving with care as she does. We stared face to face for around 30-40 minutes. That was about how long it took her to cross the road and make it into the branches across the way. A pleasure I wasn't in a rush anywhere and got to share a moment with this fascinating creature.

Teach me to move slowly like you do

This is its natural defence. It literally moves so slowly, moss grows on this animal. Its wonderful to see up close all the bugs living on its fur, so coarse and moldy. It doesn't smell appealing to the others. It offers so man intriguing insights. It cared not to get where it was going in any manner of a pace. Stopping to full scope me out. Hissing when i got a little to close.

Arcane Conclusion.

Take a play from the sloths book.
GO! Slowly where no mammal has gone before!
Move slowly. Stumble and play into each new movement. Grace is not about speed. Where you are at every moment is as rich as any other. This obscure and wonderful creature. So glad we have made friends.

Tijo~
