While browsing the posts on the Steem blockchain this morning, this little butterfly decided to fly in the window and do a pose for me. It's not often that I'm able to get this close to a butterfly to capture its details, so it was really cool to be able to get this photo.
I have been trying to identify it, but I'm actually not sure about what species it is. It kind of looks like a Pieris brassicae to me, but these are typically not this yellow, so I'm not so sure about this ID. Does anyone here have any idea? The last time I identified an insect wrong, several people were able to tell me the correct species, so hopefully this will happen once again.

Yes, it is pieris brassicae nepalensis if em not wrong this is also called cabbage butterfly ,but whatever it,s name,it is very cute,very beautiful photograph.

Awesome close-up, @valth! :) I am pretty sure it is indeed Pieris brassicae. This species is very common here and it often gets this yellowish shade. This one, for example, looks almost identical to the one that came to visit you this morning :)
