Film Review: Napping Princess, Kokone Adventure Saving the World of Dreams and the Real World

in animation •  6 years ago

The film presents a somewhat confusing drama story at the beginning but will be seen as the story goes. The plot presented by Kenji Kamiyama as a story writer and director provides a thrilling experience. Towards the middle of the film, we will be presented with intense scenes and exciting, especially when Kokone and Morio escape from the bad man with a thick mound. The storyline after this feels fast moving between the dream world and the real world, to the extent that the audience made a little dizzy understanding the plot of the story.

And the important thing to remember in this movie is that this anime is a mecha anime wrapped in fantasy. Mecha shown in the film is designed by Shigeto Koyama known for its mecha designs of titles such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Eureka Seven and Star Driver. For those who are familiar with the titles tersebuat will find the robot fight in the movie is very satisfactory. Moreover, the last scene with engineers and Heart robots that suddenly winged the Wing Zero Custom in the anime Gundam Wing. Shigeto Koyama also designed Baymax, which is why Heart Design looks similar to Baymax from Big Hero 6 movie.

In addition to telling the world of the future with sophisticated technology, the story of kinship is also the main focus in this anime. Regarding Kokone's background, the reason he only lives with his father, and why they are being chased by the person who wants to have his father's tablet.

Kokone is also described as a prominent and reliable protagonist. Although his experience is lacking, Kokone's character can be considered as one of the protagonists the audience will love. Coupled with the displacement of scenes in the world of dreams and real-world interconnected increasingly add a fantasy element in this anime movie.
