Hello steemians! Welcome to 「Should You Watch?」, a section in where I review anime so you don't have to look for the good ones.
Today we'll be having a look at Chobits, one of the first seinen anime I watched. Let's begin.

This show is about Hideki Motosuwa, a farmboy who wants to get to university in Tokio. Shortly after he gets a flat there, we find that Persocons, basically robots that double as PCs, are ultra popular in this alternate-reality, everyone has one.

Yes, those aren't women on display. Those are actual computers.

Shortly after that, Hideki luckly finds a persocon in the trash (literally) and brings her home. Soon after, shenanigans ensue. And that really is the most fun part of the show: seeing how Hideki and his persocon named Chii learn to live together, and the philosophical question of Should We All Bang Cute Robots?

I mean, look at her.

After all, the character design is handled by CLAMP, a company known for their beautiful designs.

So, in conclusion: Should You Watch Chobits?

If you identify yourself as a straight male, sure, go for it. Surely you'll find something appealing (and Chii is cute AF). I had some female friends watch this show and they didn't like it, at all.
