Watch out for the community rules.
If people don't agree with how you get your Steem Power they will downvote you so you'll end up not gaining anything at all.

Hey @derasmo, thank you for the warning. So far we have invested $1k of our own money into Steem Power because we believe in the Steemit platform. Our plan this year is to reinvest our earnings from Author Rewards back into Steem Power. These are the two ways we have earned Steem Power so far. We believe that increasing our value instead of cashing out will reward our followers who take the time to engage & support us.
