With the introduction of the Otsutsuki clan towards the end of the Naruto series, there are many new possibilities that could occur where the sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, has been quite successful in exploring this so far. One of the strengths in the story that attracts quite a lot of attention is a seal called Karma.
Karma itself is now the center of the story in the Boruto series, with several characters bearing this mark, one of which is the main protagonist, Boruto. And recently, most of the mysteries of karma were revealed to the fans. The facts about Karma itself were revealed by Amado, a scientist from Kara who is now in the village of Konoha to ask for protection.
Karma gives immense power and ability to those who are connected to this power. But, in the end, slowly but surely if the Karma seal stays in the container for too long then that person's body will lose control of his body and will become completely the property of the Otsutsuki and his figure will become a perfect figure.
However, as shown in the previous chapter when Isshiki finally used the Karma in Kawaki's body, if an Otsutsuki then uses the Karma seal that he has "stored" on a person's body for a long time, the Karma seal on that person's body will disappear.
What is described above is actually a general understanding of black Karma, the Karma seal that has been shown to fans in the series. However, what's interesting is that in chapter 55 yesterday the fans were introduced to a new type of Karma seal. Although in shape it is similar to the Karma we know, but in terms of color, the Karma seal on the body of the Code is white.
According to Code's own explanation, that Karma is a failed Karma. Because of that, he couldn't be a vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki and Isshiki himself preferred Kawaki as his vessel. Even so, we then get another explanation from Isshiki's soul. According to him, Code still has the opportunity to become the most powerful figure in the universe.
Although Code can't be a vessel for Otsutsuki's soul, but he has received pure and natural power from Otsutsuki. This indirectly makes Code a part of the Otsutsuki clan. Unlike Kawaki and those who have black Karma, Code has the opportunity to become a new god, becoming a perfect Otsutsuki figure by eating the chakra fruit.
Actually, overall we still don't know how powerful and terrifying White Karma is. However, how the explanation about Code is able to become a terrible figure and how Amado and Code also provide an explanation about Code's abilities are an indication of how powerful white Karma is.
Code himself is a "backup figure" from Kawaki which, according to Amado, he has tremendous potential. Amado explained to Naruto and Shikamaru that there were some people that he deliberately restrained his powers, by using 'limiters'. Amado did this on the orders of Jigen, who thought that Code would be very dangerous if his strength was not limited.
This means that if Isshiki himself had said that, white Karma would certainly be able to pose a major threat to the entire shinobi world. And this is also what then makes Code target the life of Amado, which is nothing but to make the scientist release the limiting power within him so that he can use all of his potential.
In yesterday's chapter 62, we saw how Code dominates Kawaki. Indeed, this is because Kawaki has lost his Karma seal, so he is not stronger than Code. Not to mention the purpose of meeting with Code is to negotiate and surrender. However, in practice we see how Code really is in its power and Kawaki himself admits that.
Maybe Masashi Kishimoto can provide another explanation about this Karma in the next chapter. In the anime series Boruto Episode 219 yesterday there were hints that Code might be able to use 100% of Isshiki's power. Maybe this is what then made him blocked by Amado on Isshiki's orders. The fight between Boruto and Kawaki against Code itself may only start in the upcoming chapter 63. We look forward to the continuation of the story
