Hello everyone as you know the anime, has become an important part of modern popular culture but this phenomenon, tends to be alien to some people in this post will clarify the reasons why we like anime and why some people hate it.
Reasons why we like anime:
If I made a list of why I like anime, the list would be too big for you to read, and I'll tell you the main reasons why I like it instead:
- Escape from reality: Life can be hard at times, but when I see anime for some reason all the things I was worried about disappear, I may spend the whole day watching anime but in my opinion it is the best thing I can do every day.
- Motivation: The anime has been the impulse I need when I need it most, with its motivational characters and seeing how each one of them rose again and again after a defeat, gave me the strength to face every adversity.
- Identification: I identify myself with some characters of the anime characters who spend as much pain as glories but who always find the way to defeat their opponents.
Reasons to reject anime:
Both parents and some people reject anime, saying that they are childish things and only serve to rot the brain, I do not stop these people but I believe but here are some reasons why anime is hated:
-Comparison with Western animation: Most people who watch anime for the first time think that they are the same as American or European animation, the truth is that these series are designed for a young audience (8-13 years old), the anime is designed for all audiences whether young people, adults or even children, there are different anime that are designed for a certain audience I will not deny that there are absurd animes made mostly for children, but there are others with a deep plot and with complex characters.
Anime:
Cartoon:
- Prolonged time watching anime: Many parents complain that their children spend too much time on the computer, maybe this is true, but that is doubtful because many teenagers are connected through social networks, websites, games, etc. So there is a lot of speculation on their part.
- Isolation: Another big complaint, many parents complain that their children are isolated because of the anime, but this is a total lie, the anime serves as a refuge yes, but to cause the isolation is already the fault of personal and family problems.
- Antisocial: Many people criticize the Otakus for being antisocial, but this is not for everyone, many are lively and playful, full of joy and creativity, this may not apply to everyone but this is how I see it.
- Bullying: There are people who humiliate others for the simple fact of being different, even if it doesn't have much to do with watching anime, many people bind it because most of them are otakus.
Message for parents and people who reject anime:
If your child is isolated, antisocial and spends all day watching anime or in their room do not blame the anime, the anime is a means of expression and freedom capable of showing the most amazing worlds that we can imagine, if your child is isolated is his fault not the anime and if you are from people who do not like the anime and reject it I tell you, I don't know what happened to your childhood since almost everyone I know saw dragon ball, digimon or superchampions, so if you didn't see any of these or any other, it seems very strange to me, but if you reject it for other reasons I remember you, everyone has different tastes and if you don't see it then you are the one with the problem.
Message for my colleagues:
There will always be people who think differently from us you may not see it, but the world is a huge place and if you get angry with everyone who thinks differently you will always be angry and if you don't want to be you should remember that you are not alone the anime is everywhere even if you don't see it always are there, so the next time you isolate yourself remember to at least try to fit in from time to time, have a chat with your fellow students, or at least work, go out to the movies to see something new, never stop trying to live in this world may not be the same as anime but if you give it a chance you will see that it can be incredible.

Hey I get you man, I'm a fan of anime and manga too. Just look at the posts that I've made on this site so far for proof of that. With that said, I think you're coming off as a little dismissive here. Sure people that write off anime as brain anesthetic for nine-year-olds are also being dismissive, but we're trying to be better than them aren't we?
But also, I don't think anime is even seen as a basement-dweller activity anymore. Massively popular youtubers, Netflix, Arby's have all come out and shown their support for anime, and it's gradually becoming more acceptable to the layman.
It would be interesting if this were an active debate or something, but as it stands, aren't you just scoring goals with no opponent? I'd much rather grant exposure for things that I like than trying to convince people that they're thinking the wrong way.

You're right, thank you for your comment, I think I have to rethink this and I have to think about what anime means to me and I also think I was too quick to write just because I think something is wrong doesn't mean I should write it.
