Ken Kaneki Drawing from Tokyo Ghoul:RE | Art by Clark

in anime •  6 years ago

Here's a drawing I did of Ken Kaneki. I've been enjoying the new release of tokyo ghoul:re. There are a lot of mysteries to solve and the new characters and abilities are awesome as well. I was recommended by a friend to give tokyo ghoul a try. I'm so glad I did because I never thought I would like the anime as much as I did. It truly has been a journey through all the series and I feel attached because I know so much about what has happened.

I really like the reference photo that I saw and that's why I decided to draw this. It's something I've been wanting to draw for a while now but wasn't quite sure how I'd attempt it. I'd love to hear what you think about my drawing.

Here a video of the full process. Check it out if you have a couple of minutes to spare.

Here's a picture of the final product.

That's really impressive, especially since you freehand it. I need a sketchy foundation or wire frame for all of my drawings, else my proportions are off.

Thank you! Yeah, I always draw a pencil sketch before I ink things in. I still mess up my proportions which is why I still do the pencil sketch beforehand. One day I'll be able to draw without it. Take care!

Thanks for showing all the materials you used; very informative!!

No problem :) I know how much it helps me out when I look at other artist artwork and they include them in theirs.
