Is "Re:Zero" going to have a 2nd season? Honest analysis.

in anime •  7 years ago

Hi everyone! In this post we are going to discuss the chances of Re:zero having a second season.

To make this analysis, we are going take a look at three different aspects of the anime:

1- Sales of Blu-ray and DVD

2- Sales of Source material ( in this case, the light novel)

3 - Adversities

1- Blu-ray and DVD sells - Good

Re:zero sold about 10,000 units per volume. Anything above 8,000 units this gives profit to the producer and encourages it to make a new season.

2- Source material sells - Increased

Re:zero sold approximately 10,000 units per volume of the Light Novel before the anime to approximately 60,000 units after the anime (60,000 units is considered a good value to LN). It was a good increase and also estimulates the publishing company to make a new season.

3- Adversities

Talking about adversities, until the date of this post, the author published 16 volumes and the anime adapted only 9 in the first season. They can easily adapt the remaining 7 for a new season

Conclusion -

Re:zero was good in all the aspects. There is no reason at all to not gave a new season and, honestly, its only abot time for the announcement.

Can you write the source of informations you tell ?

Sure! The BD and DVD sells I usually use www.someanithing.com database and LN I do my only research. It also depends if the LN appears in the best sellers rank

Okey thanks !
I advise you to put the sources at the end, not to believe that the figures are invented ;-)
