It's been some time since I've seen East of Eden, but I can tell you that it left enough of an impression that I decided to include it on the list. I do remember that the crux of the show has to do with a chance meeting between the two main characters, Saki Morimi and Akira Takizawa. Together they must unravel the mystery of a mysterious terrorist act later referred to as "Careless Monday". During this incident several missiles were launched at different buildings but, strangely, no one people were injured.
East of Eden is a great little action-packed mystery with all sorts of twists and turns that will keep you hooked until the very end. The main characters are wrapped up in a game with bizarre and twisted rules where the stakes are their very lives and all of their hopes and dreams. Definitely give this one a shot.
