Wow, I didn't know Bleach went downhill (๑•﹏•). When I used to work at the library, this was one of the most requested manga, and I heard mostly good things about it. Of course, that was a while back, when anime and manga was gaining traction in the States.
Good overview (๑•‿•๑). I think I'll get back into watching it from the beginning, or put it back on my to read list. And I had no idea about the title till now (๑˃‿˂).

Yes (๑•‿•๑). Around 2008, there were only about two rows of manga. From what I remember, it was Fruits Basket, Death Note, Bleach, and Naruto. Now, they have a section for manga, and even have an anime club (๑˃‿˂).
If you ever have manga or anime that you want to get rid of, try donating them to the library (๑•‿•๑).

Hahaha! True! (๑˃‿˂) I'd be the same way, since I buy them for my collection. Plus, manga are expensive outside of Japan (๑˃﹏˂).

the interesting part is when you are binge watching you don't even need to refer a filler list to identify when the filler starts be it naruto, fairytail or bleach, fillers immediate mark a steep degrade in quality.
I agree aizen's death and loss of shinagami power should have been a fitting end to the story. however as far as i am aware Tite Kubo had to finish the series in a hurry towards the end and there could have been a lot more. Of all the anime's i watched so far. 2 of my favourites bleach and fairytail both have not got the last manga arc in anime.

Probably the downside in creating a very popular and successful manga is this. Fans kept expecting more and more and it's hard to live with that level of expectations. And yeah I do agree that it could have been great if Tite Kubo was not pressured to hurry and finish the series, the guy has some solid and unique ideas :)
