Fairy Tale is one of the most hyped anime... As you said,I don't really know why people love it so much.

The difference between Fairy Tail and the other "fighting" series is that the fights are faster and more diverse. Maybe that is the reason people like it, Maid-chan thinks.

someone who has just finished season 4 and looking for season 5 onwards i feel its simple but so are most of the top rated onces. compare it with say bleach or with naruto or dragonball and varients story plays out very simmilarly.
I watched entire bleach and still remember it for the awesome OST.
I watched naruto till a point and remember it for 1-2 sound track and may be some fun stuff, but primarily coz of naruto's obsession to bring back sasuke.
I am watching fairy tail now liking music and ya like you said its fun to watch. Fights do pump you up, which is something i felt was missing in most of naruto fights.
But then my experiance is only of these 3 plus dragonball and dragonballz so who am i to comment.

I agree with Bleach having an awesome soundtrack. 'Rolling Star' by Yui happens to be my fav OST in an anime. :)
The fights in Fairy Tail is actually great due to the animation. If we remove the whole 'power of friendship' and the sudden power ups of MC's it would turn out great.
Unlike FT, Goku actually have to train to get stronger, at one time he even spent an amount of time inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train which I don't see in FT.

agreed about goku training hard but then again no matter what you throw at Goku even if its a god you know the outcome: goku will win it. by hook, by dragon balls or senzu beans Goku has always got it.
Fights in FT ya much better animation and faster compared to DBZ. DBZ sometimes felt like they are just dragging the fight specially powerup scene's.
FT i think so far i have seen only 1-2 training sections but then again i suppose the logic (if its present) being that these folks train on job. as they need to make a living to sustain too. This aspect is something i have only seen FT folks worrying a lot about specially lead characters. Only chi-chi in DBZ seemed worried about money. Otherwise even for naruto it always seemed his stay etc is all sorted. even if he is looking for money oneway or the other its sorted and not a big deal.
BTW while we are at it: what's your suggestion after DB, DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and FT what should be next good picks. Considering my uniquely absurd taste where i like Bleach and FT more then others.
