Welcome!
today I bring you a manga Josei published in 2016 ending its serialization in May of this year. Focused on music, romance and shooting the slice of life with a total of 6 chapters, compiled in a single volume.
The story focuses on a boy who leaves home to the big city of Tokyo even in the face of the contrary opinion shown by his parents at this decision. Is it easy to turn the page? Can you leave a whole day and not remember with melancholy your happiest moments in the town where you grew up and grew up? These are the approaches that this manga comes to show from the synopsis of a young man who will seek to rebuild his life as a musician, but in the process he will make a memory of his past experiences, both in emotional aspects and in the challenges that impact on his new story and what his decision entails. Interlacing a narrative that shows us from one moment to another in time: past and present of the young musician.
That is to a greater extent the premise that holds, and the best attractant. If you are looking for a story with these nuances, I'll give you a brief introduction to what the work aims for. This recommendation is not finished much less; now we will go to see some of the technical aspects in which it stands out, and getting deep into the work (no clear spoilers) if you have not fully convinced you to read Mahou ga Tsukaenakutemo.
Starting with the art that is given to manga, Kii Kanna, an artist specializing in ¿BL? It conveys in the vignettes a simple drawn but not bad, in essence it accomplishes in brushing all the scenarios and characters in a very nice way that maybe they do not leave a common stereotype in terms of character design, but for some reason to move away of the genre in which they frequent, manages to give an air of something different in some sense.
Now the characters that we find, are at least charismatic and make good use of them. By having a reduced duration, we do not get to delve into them, beyond our protagonist. See it in this way, is a plot focused on a single character, the others are as a mere adherent to the story, held by that member in order to tell that story. You can not say that the manga does bad work on their characters when they are not the central axis, the ingenuity on the other hand, the mangaka put on making them more than filling presences is to be thanked. In some way or another trigger in the protagonist some new feeling, reflective in some cases and this is why I remember each of them momentarily.
A calm rhythm is what awaits you, the internal conflict develops slowly, the mentality of the protagonist. Music is an aspect that does not stand out, is not something bad or good, but I mention because as a resource when recalling the memories of the young person is complemented in a good way making entertaining and entertaining what is the narrative that as I said before results move from one side to another in a successful order, time skips that do not get to feel abrupt. The mangaka has its merit when flowing a scene naturally.
The most exciting thing you will find in the manga is to see the boy, face the past, facing the now. In its six chapters makes good use of time to build the world and characterize the members of the cast that surround the protagonist, a well structured slice of life with a correct ending to what we had been anticipating making reference to the title of the work " Even if I can not use magic. " A social context is what marks the plot so that I could somehow say that it leaves a good teaching according to the meaning behind the story itself.
What more to say? It is a short work so I add much more I can not. I hope I gave you a good perception of the manga, I personally liked it a lot. One thing before ending the post. Unfortunately, only the first chapter translated into Spanish (or so I have seen) is found, and the others can be found in English, but a translation to our language as such I have not found it, online. In this sense I understand why the work has gone quite unnoticed which is a pity, but still I hope you are encouraged to read at least the first of the six chapters that has this small but beautiful work.
Thanks for reading the post, and I hope you liked it, bye
