The story of Attack on Titan takes place in a world where humanity is forced to live behind walls due to the appearance of man-eating giants called Titans. The story follows Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their friend Armin Arlert, who join the military in order to fight against the Titans after their hometown is destroyed and one of their family members is killed.
What do fans and critics think ?
The story is very gripping and it keeps you on the edge of your seat with its fast-paced action scenes. The characters are also well-developed, have their own unique personalities and backstories that make them relatable to viewers. However, there were some criticisms about Attack on Titan such as how graphic it can be at times (e.g. blood and gore), as well as its slow pacing in the middle of the season. Despite these criticisms, Attack on Titan has been generally praised by fans and critics alike for its intense action scenes, gripping story and well-developed characters. What makes this anime so popular? I think that the art style and the plot are both major factors.
The characters themselves were drawn in such a unique way, with all their muscles bulging out of them like they’re freaks (and not just because of their bodies). Although it was hard to get used to at first, I eventually found the art style to be very appealing.
The plot is also amazing, with so many twists and turns that you never know what’s going to happen next. It really sucks you in and makes you want to watch more and more.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the story progresses in future seasons.
