Synopsis

Tanya Degurechaff is a young soldier infamous for predatorial-like ruthlessness and an uncanny, tactical aptitude, earning her the nickname of the "Devil of the Rhine." Underneath her innocuous appearance, however, lies the soul of a man who challenged Being X, the self-proclaimed God, to a battle of wits—which resulted in him being reincarnated as a little girl into a world of magical warfare. Hellbent on defiance, Tanya resolves to ascend the ranks of her country's military as it slowly plunges into world war, with only Being X proving to be the strongest obstacle in recreating the peaceful life she once knew. But her perceptive actions and combat initiative have an unintended side effect: propelling the mighty Empire into becoming one of the most powerful nations in mankind's history.

Review

I'm not really into military type of genres because I don't like violence and guns. But hey, who wouldn't know that I'll love this anime so much that I always re-watch them whenever I run out of anime to watch (though I don't, I have lots of pendings :| ). My plan before was to watch the first episode only, skipping some scenes and leave it out in the corner and move on to another anime. I thought this anime is just part of my passing whims. However, I'm greatly mistaken about that. I didn't skip scenes, I didn't have the urge to press forward every episode because every scene is just too good to skip and not watch them. Everything is just catchy. If you're looking for something that will easily catch your attention in just the first episode, then you chose the right anime with this.

I love how Tanya's plan to exact revenge to The Divine Being. She doesn't believe in God and I like her reasoning for that. I love how she leads her own army at an early age. I just love her character so much that I had to look into her seiyuu and look for some interesting anime with very good plots.

Since I'm a fan of mind games (though I'm not really good at it), I love the strategies they formulate and how Tanya seems to know every nook of the strategy without actually having been informed about it. So if you're looking for something with good philosophy content in the anime, great strategic concepts and actions, then I've got this for you. Very highly recommended!

P.S: Tanya's seiyuu is Yuuki Aoi and seiyuu is a slang for anime voice actors and actresses.

I am always listening it's ending (=ↀωↀ=)

Hahaha xD
I did not listen to the endings and openings at all. They seem disturbing to me :(

That's what makes them charming (・ωー)~☆

I agree :)
