Ok, so, if you've seen Hajime No Ippo, you know how much it borrowed from Ashite no joe. Now, Megalo Box, is SOOOOOOOOOO fuckign similar to ashite no joe, it's not even funny. Having said that, it's pretty good. The main character is interesting, and I like the idea of boxing with "mech" extras to give you an edge - my only issue is, realistically, I don't see why that'd be needed, or how it'd be an adventage - put it this way, if you're aiming for the head, a good punch fucks a person up. Now, there's no extra head protection, so... ok, you got stronger punches - but... but WHY? A regular strong punch can already do the job? Wouldnt' extra mech parts make you slower, and an easier target for somebody WITHOUT those mech additions? Meh.
WHATEVER, it's still pretty cool :). Honestly tho, just the fact that it is a "martial arts" type of anime already makes it interesting for me... so, if that's not your thing, this anime might not be for you.
