Anjali Bhagwat, in full Anjali Vedpathak Bhagwat, (born December 5, 1969, Girgaum, India), Indian rifle shooter who won the 2002 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Champion of Champions combined-air-rifle event to become the first Indian to win this competition.
Bhagwat's foray into the world of the shooting occurred by chance while she was training for the National Cadet Corps, and it took her almost 14 years to set herself on the world stage. In 2002 she won four championships (from the solo and pair events of the 10-meter air-rifle and 50-meter three-position-rifle areas ) in the Commonwealth Games and silver medals as part of the Indian women's group at both the ISSF World Cup and Asian Games. She became the first Indian woman to get a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup Final when she won the 10-meter-air rifle event in 2003.
